Our mission is to increase our spiritual awareness by learning more about our place in the universal order of things through shared experience and thereby contribute to a higher state of collective consciousness.
The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) is a non-profit institute founded by Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell in 1973. Located in Northern California, it conducts and sponsors leading- edge research into the potentials and powers of consciousness - including remote healing, prayer, subtle energies and intuition - while maintaining a commitment to scientific rigor. The Institute builds bridges between science and religion which help us to find a deeper spiritual awareness. Noetic Nautilus Community Groups are associated with the Institute as part of a Network of some 220 Groups worldwide.
